Job Description:
Responsible for analysis, design, coding and testing of
new applications or enhancements to existing applications using Java-based
technologies, including Java, J2EE, JSP, XML, JDBC, and Servlets.
· Must be able to apply SDLC concept and have a proven track record of
delivering solid, robust applications. Must have a solid understanding
of Object
Oriented Programming.
· Strong communication skills are required as position will interact
with business owners.
· 6+ years of prior Java development experience required.
*Required Skills:*
· GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS ARE A MUST
· Knowledge of Java 1.5+ (Required) Knowledge of Oracle database
management system (DBMS) and PL/SQL (Required)
· Microsoft Office skills
· Knowledge of J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition)
· methodology (JSF/AJAX/JavaScript) (Required)
· Knowledge of HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) and XML (extensible
Markup Language) (Required)
· Knowledge of RAD (Rational Application Developer) application
development skills or other eclipse based tool (Required)

· Ability to use multiple tools and techniques to facilitate the
design, development, and integration of business systems Knowledge of a wide
range of technical systems or expertise in a more narrow range
· Ability to develop increasingly complex business systems
· Ability to contingency plan, analyze systems for efficiencies, and
develop test case scenarios Knowledge of multiple business functional /
technical areas
· Ability to communicate effectively (both written and orally) with
all levels of audiences Knowledge of SOA (service-oriented architecture) and
experience with developing Webservices Programming skills
· Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts
· Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies and their application
· Knowledge of WebSphere 6.1+
· Knowledge of Rational Version control tools (ClearCase/ClearQuest)
