Location: South San Francisco CA LOCALS ONLY Duration: 6 months+ Skills: - 6+ years experience in System administration, Systems and application management, design, coding/acquisition of scalable, fault-tolerant system monitoring and business intelligence systems used in IT environments. - The ideal candidate will have working knowledge with one or more configuration management products (e.g., BladeLogic, Opsware, Tripwire, etc.); monitoring products (ProactiveNet, BMC, Tivoli); network management products and SNMP protocol (e.g., Rendition, Voyence, HP NNM, SolarWinds, etc.); High Availability products ( e.g. Veritas ). - Candidate would have the ability to integrate products and execute/oversee implementations - Strong experience monitoring and analyzing production database platforms, UNIX servers, IP networks and mission-critical systems. Must be a capable scripter (Bash, Korn, other scripting languages), coder (at least SQL, Perl, Java, C) and knowledge of TCP/IP based protocols.
