*SAP BPC Developer II *

Basic Job Functions:

The focus of this position will be to build out and support the use of *SAP
BPC* for financial planning, consolidations and analysis at the client site.

Our client is in the process of upgrading the current *BPC 7.0NW* (Financial
Consolidations System) and converting the current *BPC 7.0M* (Planning
System), to *BPC 7.5NW* platform. Currently there are several B PC processes
that are running in both the platforms using standard and custom built
functionality. They are categorized as System (mostly “out-of-the-box”
components), Custom (combination of standard & custom components), and
Execute Formulae (standard components to execute logic files). Most of the
custom work is done on BPC 7.0MS platform using SSIS packages which needs to
be converted / ported over to the target platform BPC 7.5. During this
conversion, any efficiency that could be brought into the process by
modifying the way the logic files are executed will be attempted. In other
words, as part of the migration to BPC for Netweaver 7.5 the processing
logic contained in the *SSIS* packages must be re-engineered using a
combination of *SAP Process Flows, BPC built-in functionality, Netweaver and
ABAP logic*.

For this purpose, some items/processes have been identified for custom *ABAP
development*. The kinds of tasks for the ABAP resource mainly, will be to
build custom *BADIs* using standard system components, custom process chains
to accommodate custom variables, data pre-processing in *BPC/BW* staging
layer. There could be some ABAP development to interface from BPC/BW system
to external systems. The details of the development objects, process
diagrams are captured in this document to the extent possible now. Detailed
functional specifications will be developed and updated during the course of
the project.

These resources will be developing BPC Custom BADI’s. Since this skill-set
seems to be more Object-Oriented than standard ABAP, these resources should
have strong familiarity with the *BI objects* available within the BPC
namespace. In addition, they should have experience working with:

*- BI/BPC Process Chains*

*- BPC Script Logic (7.5NW)*

*- BPC Data Manager Packages*

Thanks & Regards
