*Senior Security Engineer* - A former *Windows/Linux/Unix* or network sys admin with *security operations experience*
**Start date in April* Location: Bay Area , CA, prefer locals Duration: 6 months + Visa restriction: none Rate: $market *Qualifications:* * 8+ years of related work experience and specifically at least 5 years in a related security role. * *Expert knowledge of Windows, Unix/Linux administration* * *Experience with System Security tools including McAfee Application Control (formerly Solidcore) and Tripwire* ** Experience with server platform security, security audits, vulnerability scanning tools and techniques (envision, Splunk, Nessus, Tripwire)* * Experience working with *network security infrastructure and protocols* * Experience working in a multi-location *enterprise environment* * Experience with centralized log management or SIEM platforms a plus * Experience with configuration control / change monitoring tools a plus * Proficient knowledge of data encryption and control is a plus * Certifications not required, but SANS, CISSP, CISM, Cisco certifications are a plus * Excellent written and spoken communication skills *Key Responsibilities:* * *Extended deployment of security systems (listed above)*** * Monitoring and maintaining the security posture * Collaborate with employees, contractors and third-parties in security event response/handling, project and system security assessments, and PCI/SOX/policy compliance guidelines/remediation * Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced dynamic environment between greatly varying incident types including: malware incidents, insider threats, DDoS attacks, customer/business related fraud, system/code vulnerabilities, data breaches, etc. * Define, plan, and deploy cutting edge technologies related to security and threat response via security projects that meet strategic and operational team and company goals If interested please send us your resume with visa, rate and contact details asap.
