Duration - long term Rate - $40/hr all inclusive Skills and Technical Experience: . A key focus will be on testing our application clustering, fault tolerance, and failover technologies. Platforms include development (Java, GWT), OS (Linux, Windows) and various hypervisor platforms including VMWare, KVM, ECN, and Virtual Box. Databases include Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL. Comfort with SQL as a scripting language and XML to interact effectively with certain application components. . Carryout Java distributed and parallel processing testing, scalability and benchmark testing for the application. . Prepare quality test plans and test cases. Perform application functional, white box, and black box training. . Prepare smoke tests and execute on each build. . Prepare automated testing scripts using JUnit and other toolsets. Maintain the automated testing scripts. . Perform scalability testing and load on the applications to isolate resource bottlenecks and identify optimization. . Perform browser compatibility testing for Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, and other target browsers. . Manage the bug tracker system. Lead the bug triage sessions working with development and operations members. . Perform release management using automated build scripts. . Provide first level review of reported client and Pneuron issues, attempting to re-duplicate and verify the issue. . Work with development in the scheduling of issues in the release cycles. . Engage offshore development team using GoToMeeting and Messenger to evaluate issues and determine resolution. General Experience: . Minimum of 7 years of quality assurance testing for a software or software as a service vendor . Minimum of 5 years experience in application infrastructure testing (clustering, distributed processing, load balancing) . Experience in cloud computing testing is a plus and desired . Demonstrated experience in release management and source code oversight . Identifiable history of leading complex software quality assurance projects from inception to successful conclusion . Creates outstanding working relationship with all stakeholders and decision makers within the corporation . Acquires thorough understanding of the expectations and requirements of the engagements he/she is responsible for . Demonstrates leadership with the grasp of the project objectives and measures of success . Assists in testing implemented solutions, developing training content, and training members when required . A willingness to work outside their standard comfort zone and wear multiple hats in order to deliver for the corporation and/or client . Able to demonstrate technical acumen with the ability to understand and interact with software applications . Experience in banking and financial services industries is a plus and is desired. . Comfort in and experience with the challenges of a start-up either as a new company or within a larger organization . Excellent organizational skills . Excellent verbal and written communications skills .
