Position: Oracle DBA Location : Tampa, FL No of Positions : 1 Duration : 6-12 Months Client : Banking /Financial Start : Immediate Role : Oracle DBA Rate : $400-$420/day Corp-Corp/1099 Principal Responsibilities: . Works closely with client and technical management, and with related support groups (e.g. Data Resource Management, Systems Software Support, Computer Operations), . Design and implement databases and database support tools and procedures in support of complex business application development requirements. . Responsible for performance tuning with the help of ADDM / AWR, Perfstat tools set. . Perform Database logical and physical Design review and provides expert opinions to the end user. . Expert knowledge of the Datawarehouse environment. . Performs Oracle database troubleshooting and management . Perform Database backup & Recovery using RMAN . Responsible for the integrity and security of data in these databases. . Manage the Oracle 10G RAC environment including ASM, Clusterware etc. . Manage and support databases in Production environment. . Manage Oracle upgrades by applying Oracle CPU patches, RAC related CRS patch. Experience: Minimum of 12 years experience in database administration is required. Knowledge and Skills Required: . Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision. . Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. . Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. . Requires general knowledge and hands-on experience in all database disciplines, including logical and physical database design, database implementation, access optimization, security, storage management, system and application performance management, and database systems administration. . Extensive knowledge of database internals, data dictionary, PL/SQL coding, Backup & Recovery concepts, database security and monitoring (Grid Control). . Hands on experience in performance tuning and B&R using RMAN . Experience with Perl, shell scripts programming is required. . Requires in-depth, hands-on expertise in Oracle 9i / 10g, Unix (Aix/Solaris/Linux). . Hands on experience of Oracle 10g/11g RAC including ASM and B&R in a RAC environment. Education, Training &/or Certification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience required. Oracle certification preferred.
