*Location: Chicago, IL *** *Duration: 12 months * *Rate: market* Interview: phone Start: ASAP This *Lead Technical Architect* will be responsible for working with Business and Technology teams to architect, lead, develop, and manage solutions to highly complex business and technology programs with focus on information management (or payments) using internet, distributed, and mainframe technologies. This individual will be responsible for aligning technology with the business vision and developing our information management technology strategy. The Senior Architect will be responsible for engaging the appropriate technology subject matter experts within bank to drive our technology roadmap and achieve our business vision. He or she will be responsible and held accountable for architecture governance, solution designs, estimates, blueprints, and managing open issues and risks for projects/initiatives related to information management architecture. • *Must have 10 years* of experience in information technology in large corporate or consulting environment, of those years at least 5 years focused on data architecture, data loading, data warehouses, data strategy, reporting, and mainframe technology. • Able to break down complex business problems and transform into data solutions. • Proven ability to produce results and proactively drive strategic initiatives. • Strong oral and written communication and team leadership skills. • Must be comfortable working in a changing environment. • Excellent organizational skills, proven analytical, planning, problem solving and decision-making skills. • Ability to collaborate with supporting resources across business and/or functional lines. • Must have the ability to bring large scale/high impact projects to conclusion from a technical and leadership perspective. • Ability to persuade and influence is key • Experience creating and presenting executive level presentations • Must have ability to be tactful yet assertive • Extensive experience with large environments, multiple operating systems, multiple database management systems, and networked technology • Previous financial experience a big plus • Education: Undergraduate degree focused on Information Technology (CS, MIS, CE etc) • Must have practical experience and solid understanding of several, if not all, of the following technologies, frameworks, paradigms, and standards: J2EE, UML, OOA / OOD, Agile/RUP, SOA, MDA, EDA, Spring, Drools, Mule, XML, SOAP, WSDL, SSL, Digital Signatures, Internationalization (i18n), Authorization (PEP/PDP/XACML), Business Process Management (BPMN/BPEL), and Performance Testing (LoadRunner) • Exposure to the following software packages/platforms or equivalent a strong plus: RSA, Actuate, Cognos, Siteminder, BEA WebLogic Application and Portal Servers, Tomcat, Oracle, DB2, Coherence, WebMethods, MQSeries, Mercury QualityCenter.
