*Please forward resumes to ma...@infotechspectrum.com<ar...@infotechspectrum.com> * * * *Job Title: **Java Developer** Work Location: Nashville,TN Duration: 4-6+ Months, can be extended Job Description: * - Analyzing software applications to determine if the applications effectively meet the needs of the specific end-user and/or to determine if any enhancements may be needed. - Reviewing project specifications to ensure understanding of project goals and to determine the most efficient way of programming to complete project in timely manner. - Programming software applications with regard to project specifications and testing changes before implementation. - Interacting with end-users on solving problems that may occur with software applications; troubleshooting the problem and determining an appropriate course of action. - Coordinating the installation of third party software, if necessary, to monitor its interaction with current applications. - Staying abreast of industry changes and communicating any suggestions/changes for the improvement of software applications to management. *Qualifications*: We are looking for an applicant who enjoys the freedom and independence of working with a small IT group, while at the same time enjoys being as part of a great team. Required experience, education and skills include: - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field is required. - Minimum of 5 years software applications development. Insurance industry experience is a plus. - Three years hands-on expertise utilizing Java. - At least two years experience in J2EE development, including EJB, JDBS, JSP and Servlets with Websphere technology. - Experience implementing a minimum of two large-scale, full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) applications utilizing Java/J2EE technology. - Solid experience interfacing with business users by translating business requirements into functional specifications. - Hibernate, Struts and heavy Javascript experience. - Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to meet multiple deadlines.
