The Sr. Java Developer will be responsible for interpreting complex and ill-defined requirements, mixing in technical vision, and delivering solutions which are high-performing. Detailed duties include: Creating/updating technical specifications and supporting documentation Developing Java logic to be deployed as Teradata stored procedures and/or Informatica workflow tasks Performing testing tasks and code reviews Working with Architects, Business Systems Analysts, Users, Data Modelers and DBAs to ensure a proper and efficient implementation of requirements Building deep functional understanding of the prospect database’s capabilities Required minimum qualifications include: Demonstrated experience as a Java engineer with a track record of delivering designs and code with minimal defects (> 6 years). Deep experience in system engineering. This discipline includes, but is not limited to, workload management, cluster distribution, data partitioning, and performance tuning (> 5 years). Experience with Teradata Java stored procedures and/or Informatica Java Tasks is very strongly preferred. - Experience with WebSphere Process Server / J2EE is also preferred.
