*Job Description*
  Role & Responsibilities







§  Perform advanced configuration & trouble-shooting of Network failures –
L3 level support.

§  Handle escalations from L2 incident Management team.

§  Coordination on Problem analysis and providing RCA.

§  Plan, execute and report Availability, Performance & Capacity management
of Network and Security services.

§  Coordination with vendor / Service provider for problem resolution.

§  Change Impact analysis and Change coordination

§  Network and Security Patch management and upgrades.

§  Plan and execute DR requirements for the technology and coordinate the
same at project and program level requirements.

§  Troubleshoot hardware and proved hands and feet support

§  Meet reporting requirements and represent the tower in customer,
project, program meeting and audits as required.

§  Lead the tower for technical operations, Operations standardization and
documentation review.

§  Manage, maintain & update the Knowledge management database for the
tower.

§  Coordinate with customer in creation of SOP’s, Templates, policies, etc.
And make sure they implemented and effective.

§  Making sure that all the resource meets the required security standards,
policy and operations standards, quality guideline and procedure and
process are followed at all times.

§  Conduct audits on incident ticket and service request and recommend of
improvements

§  Analysis all the incident, service tickets and initiate for Service
improvement and Lean programs.

Required Candidate Profile

*Profile:– *



§  7 – 10 yrs of experience in handling Network systems administration.

§  Expert Knowledge in managing and implementation of Cisco Routers,
Switches, Wireless controllers, WAN / LAN administration, Cisco ACS and
Nortel VPN networks.

§  Expert knowledge in managing and troubleshooting Firewalls, Tripwire,
RSA ACE server, SSL VPN, Pointsec, Proxy servers and Juniper IDP setups.

§   Troubleshoot hardware and proved hands and feet support

§  CCNP Certified, CCIE(q), with one additional certification on Tools,
Platforms, vendors

§  Should have a very good understanding of ITIL process. Preferably ITIL
foundation certified.

§  Excellent verbal and written communication, good customer handling
skills and working experience in working with Virtual customers & Teams.

   - Recommend new hardware or replacement of existing hardware.
   - Approve all hardware and software/firmware requests.
   - Procure all hardware and software/firmware.
   - De-commission / retire displaced network devices as required.
   - Track the availability of patches for software/firmware.
   - Approve the installation of patches for network software/firmware.
   - Plan and schedule major network software/firmware/hardware changes and
   repair activities in accordance with Change Management procedures.
   - Coordinate and ensure that network equipment and network software not
   covered under warranty is appropriately placed on maintenance service
   contract.
   - Coordinate to obtain and provide necessary replacement parts.
   - Maintain, manage and understand the warranty documentation for
   supported network equipment.
   - Review and understand network performance and implications of
   providing additional connectivity.
   - Measure and analyze network availability and performance.
   - Network infrastructure capacity management including forecasting and
   recommending bandwidth consumption requirements
   - Provide cost estimate to effect network changes.
   - Approve network changes and implement them in accordance with Project
   & Change Management procedures.
   - Identify areas for improvement including improvements to process flow
   when required.
   - IP address design, Consolidation and management.
   - Network Optimization and QoS Management.
   - Router & Switch infrastructure Management & configuration
   - Provide Escalation support to L2 teams, handle major outage review,
   conduct RCA & Technical SIPs.
   - Advanced Technology Implementation, Configuration and troubleshooting
   including MPLS, BGP, Multimedia etc.
   - Prepare Trend Analysis based on link Usage and Hardware Utilization. .

   - Able to Implement and configure any one of the monitoring and
   management platforms like HPOV NNM(used by NOC for up/down), Orion -Solar
   winds, NETQoS, CiscoWorks LMS, Cisco ACS, MRTG, NetScout, Distributed
   Sniff, Packeteer, DFM, Cisco MARS, and WLSE.
   - Able to Implement and configure any one of Load Balancer / Content
   switching infrastructure like F5, Radware, CSS/CSM etc.
   - Service mgmt participation, SLA and performance report review and
   validation, vendor mgmt
   - Physical installation, staging and basic configuration as per the
   implementation/LLD document
   - Network migration activities and implementation rollout
   - Conduct Network Audit and Policy compliance reviews.
   - Backup planning for all the in scope network devices
   - DR planning and execution for all the in scope network devices

   - Network
      - Cisco Routers and Switches, Nexus switches.
      - IP routing and Switching.
      - MPLS Technology.
      - Routing Protocols like Eigrp and BGP.
      - Understanding of Cisco ASA (Cisco VPN Technology).
      - Cisco ACS (Tacacs).
      - Understanding of Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and Access points.
      - Reporting tool and server from NetQos.
