Senior level Java developer Work Location: 4608 Willard Ave, Chevy Chase, MD 20815 Duration: 6 Months with Extension Specializes in Java- Has experience in the development, maintenance, and testing of software programs. Responsibilities include Coding, testing, and debugging application programs from functional specifications. These individuals will work from program specifications or prototypes * Works under the direction of a team leader, senior technical person or analyst. (5+ years). • Proven application development experience for a large scale system as well as a successful track record of troubleshooting production problems. • Must be a team player, who can contribute innovative ideas, yet work independently, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills. • Ability to design, develop and implement high quality code in a timely manner is essential. • Shows an appropriate sense of urgency. Able to perform under pressure, multitask, and understand business needs and quickly grasp when the technology and business needs coincide. Team is seeking a senior level developer to work on projects aimed at improving our existing customers internet experience and retention. Experience with rule-base engines such as Blaze is highly desirable. Experience with AJAX is desirable. Experience with open source frameworks JSF, Spring, Spring Webflow, Hibernate) is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or related field is preferred.
