*Position: Software Developer (L2 Developer)*
*Location: Naperville, IL*
*Duration: 6 months contract*
*Total Openings: 2*

Experienced Software Engineer to design and develop network infrastructure
and related services. This work includes new development to address
deficiencies in our current network as well as architecting long term
enhancements for future applications.

*Qualifications*
This position requires expert-level experience in designing and
implementing networked systems. Candidate must possess skills in the
following area (but not limited to these areas):
- Design and implementation of complex routed and switched IP networks
encompassing multiple VLANS
- Strong working knowledge of IP addressing/filtering, sub-netting, routing
protocols, L2/L3 switching, TCP/IP, STP, FTP, SFTP, NTP, PPP, firewalls,
IPSEC & VPNs, DHCP, IPv4/IPv6
- Ability to lay out VLANs, design IP addressing schemes, and configure IP
routing protocols such as OSPF
- Understanding of workings of Broadcom Ethernet switching ASICs
- Linux or other kernel programming experience is a plus.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Experience delivering SONET, DCC, and Ethernet network services a plus
- Working knowledge of the Open Systems Interconnect Model
- Experience with network management applications and SNMP
- Experience with Ason Control Plane routing
- Hands on experience with network testing and troubleshooting tools
- Exceptional C++ programming skills
- BS in computer science or equivalent. MS or PhD is a plus.
