Job Title : Sharepoint Admin Location : Evanston, IL Duration : 6-9 Months *Phone + Skype* This role requires a strong technical background in the Microsoft development platform, and must be familiar with the design and deployment of web-based and client/server applications using Visual Basic/COM and ASP. This administrator position will be expected to be very hands-on and be familiar with migration of SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010. *Duties and Responsibilities* - · Experience designing and architecting fairly large collaboration sites. - · Familiarity with branding and customizing a site when required. - · Knowledge of the SharePoint Object Model and the ability to review SharePoint code. - · Demonstrated excellent troubleshooting skills especially when there are functionality and performance issues. - · Has implemented Microsoft recommended code deployment practices. - · Serve as a mentor to the development group and participate in code reviews when required. - · Experience creating and maintaining IIS sites running SharePoint and other Microsoft web technologies like Asp, ASP .Net etc. *Education and Training* B.S. *Professional Experience * 3 years SharePoint Administration experience *Technical Requirements* - · Prior .NET expertise is required. Candidate should have been involved in the full life cycle of a medium to large a .NET based project, and be familiar with object-oriented design methodologies. - · Experience in ASP.Net and C# is required. This role is expected to have a good understanding of RDBMS platforms and SQL programming. In particular, experience with Oracle 9 (or higher) and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (or higher) is a priority requirement. - · Must have a strong hands-on SharePoint experience supporting MOSS 2007 and SharePoint 2010 farms. - · Must have SharePoint migration experience between MOSS 2007 and SharePoint 2010. Experience with supporting and migrating from SharePoint Portal Server 2003 will be a strong plus. - · Experience with backing up SharePoint farms and restoring granular content is a must. - · Automating tasks using C# or PowerShell is a must. - · Strong technical knowledge of UML and related modeling tools is a plus. - · Experience with database modeling tools is a plus. *Knowledge and Abilities* - Excellent verbal and written communication skills are very important.
