Please go through the Job Description and send me your updated resume with contact information. *Please reply at **soh...@panzersolutions.com* <soh...@panzersolutions.com> Job Title : Data Warehouse/BI Architect Location : Phoenix, AZ Duration : 6+ months(most likely will get extended for up to 2 years) *Only Locals * *START DATE IS MONDAY MAY 13 OR MAY 20* *Project Description:* Client is a leading insurance company working on a multi-year enterprise data warehouse project with three core assets; the Operational Data Store, the Dimensional Layer, and the Business Intelligence (BI) Layer. *Job Description:* The Data Warehouse Architect is a senior technical leader responsible for working with both business (functional) and technical groups to gather, manage and document detailed system requirements (functional and non-functional) for data warehouse, data management, data modeling, data integration, ETL, data quality, data migration and data mart efforts. The architect identifies the appropriate information layers (e.g. staging, ODS, data warehouse, data mart) of the solution and creates and/or leads the definitions of the logical and physical models of each layer. The Data Warehouse Architect identifies and designs the data integration strategy and architecture (ETL, ELT, EII, etc.) used on a project. The Data Warehouse Architect also identifies the appropriate hardware strategy including the use of DW appliances where appropriate. The architect drives the entire development cycle and ensures the delivered solution meets the identified business needs. *Requirements:* Proven track record of leading the technical delivery of data warehouse solutions on medium to large sized projects (6 to 12 member data warehouse teams) across all phases of the project life cycle (assessment, requirements, design, develop, deploy) Expertise in translating business objectives and needs into system requirements The position provides leadership direction and accountability for strategic data architecture plans and implementation Able to meet with large client sr. management (CTO/CIO/Director level) to discuss DW/BI strategies and offering long term solution Responsible for the design of the information layers of the solution architecture using multiple data modeling techniques (traditional ER, dimensional modeling, denormalization) Responsible for designing physical topology of the data warehouse including the selection of the appropriate hardware, DBMS and/or DW appliances to meet scalability and performance requirements Performs source system analysis to identify and document data quality issues and transformation requirements Working knowledge of Master Data Management techniques, including the various approaches employed in the marketplace, their pros/cons, and the means by which they can be implemented Creates strategy and process for managing data quality rules and reporting on data quality metrics Creates strategy and process for audit, balance and control of data flows throughout the ETL process Creates strategy and process for maintaining metadata from all data warehousing solution components Creates accurate estimates of development effort required to build data warehouse solution components Solid working knowledge of Informatica and Oracle in a data warehouse setting Mentors junior staff and client personnel in data warehouse architecture best practices Strong written and verbal communication skills across multiple levels of business and technical communities Demonstrated experience in defining the feasibility and long-term strategy around data warehousing / business intelligence Must have architected and implemented large scale end-to-end BI, DW, Data Management & Analytics solutions for more than one large client Experience in multiple tools in BI Reporting (e.g. Cognos, SAS), Data Integration/Movement (ETL such as Informatica/DataStage), Data Modeling (Erwin), Database (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server) etc Lead the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers and requirements that drive the future state architecture Previous consulting experience is highly desirable Experience in the insurance (P & C) industry is highly desirable Experience with one more DW appliances is highly desirable Knowledge of the IBM Insurance Application Architecture (IAA/IIW) data models and ACORD XML Knowledge of SOA concepts, best practices, and technologies is highly desirable Thank you, Sohail Khan -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
