Will create custom web parts.
They are migrating from Sharepoint 2007 to 2010 and there are many custom
codes that may need to be rewritten.

*Will be working on:*
master pages
site definitions and layouts
custom coding
C#/publisher

*Industry Specific Challenges:*
The bandwidth that is available offshore (on the cruise ships) is limited
compared to onshore- meaning they are working to improve the efficiency of
their code.
Not just doing the migration and rewriting code but will be working side by
side with developers on other projects.

*Experience Needed:*
Experience in a support role with Sharepoint

*Hours:*
8-5pm but flexible so long as the core hours are supported.

*Experience with:*
Syntergy- replicator for Sharepoint. Web based platform used to synchronize
and manage BI in real time, across wide area server environment.
Metalogix- support for content infrastructure software. Uninterrupted
access to content, which enhances employee productivity.

*Day to Day:*
Person can definitely be good for the position if they have experience
supporting Sharepoint in some capacity.
This person will be working on all the production support. The team will be
working on sharepoint projects and the day to day is taking up too much of
their time.
They will be migrating content to all ships. If satellite connection is not
good, they must be mindful and watch out that the info is getting to the
ships in a reasonable time. Some code reacts differently since the ships
are offshore. There is customization that is used and often times with
customization, there are bugs. They will be working on making content
tweeks.
Working with documentation on an hourly/daily basis, updating security
policies, updating shore excursions to the ships, changing the photos that
are associated with this information, updating schedules. This information
is constantly changed due to every itinerary of specific cruise ships and
their sail dates.
