Hope you are doing great Here's the Job Description *Performance Tester - Local to Sunnyvale CA * *6+ Months* * * *Qualifications: * ● 8-10+ years combined work experience as Senior Software Engineer and/or Performance Testing Engineer ● Passion and desire to design and deliver performance and stress testing service for mobile front-end and back-end applications *Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:* ● Responsibility for all aspects of design and implementation with a strong emphasis on architecture and leveraging the latest open source technologies ● Data analysis to ensure high performing systems serving high volume applications are running smooth ● Develop and support a performance / stress environment and tools to support failure analysis, and support high-quality releases to production with rigorous stress environment tooling ● Build a automated test suite to measure product performance using JMeter and other tools ● Define and execute the scenarios (Load/Stress/Performance) to reflect the KPIs captured ● Analyze the results of the performance scenarios and make recommendations to improve the performance This individual will be interfacing with Cloud Services Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operations, Program Management and other development teams. We are looking for an Engineer to focus on performance analysis and execution, as part of our cloud services development team. This individual should be able to grasp the software system design and implementation and design performance and stress test cases and plans to ensure such systems can scale in production. We want to build a flexible service for stress and performance with amazing tools that allow engineers to pinpoint performance issues fast. *Specific Knowledge/Skills:* ● At least 8 years of experience in software development as a Senior Software Engineer ● At least 3 years of experience as Performance and Stress Testing Engineer *Must have: * ● Ability to use a load-testing tool like JMeter to simulate load on system ● Experience with in high-performance, high scalability distributed programming ● Expert in multi-threading and concurrency concepts ● Expert in Java for service development but uses language as a tool ● Good working experience of programming in Python and Java. Experience in scripting testing automation frameworks or systems is a huge plus ● Good understanding of network protocols, especially TCP/IP and HTTP ● Good understanding of database design and SQL ● Very good understanding of interpreting and measuring system and software metrics / KPIs ● Experience developing service oriented architectures (SOA) ● Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. ● Results oriented, product focused ● Team player, values the project, company and co-workers.
