Some of the key business functions EST supports are Risk, Compliance, Treasury, Legal, Counterparty Risk Trading and HR/Sourcing/CRES/BCM across the whole firm. Enterprise Solutions Technology Compliance is looking to fill an experienced Financial PMO Analyst role. The role is to provide cross functional coordination, hands-on support and oversight to Work Stream Leads on project level accounting, helping them build and maintain their project book of work from a financial perspective. This candidate will be working not only with the Work Stream leads but will interface with the IT COO Business Managers, project managers and ultimately roles up under the Compliance PMO office. Critical aspects of the position include not only project level accounting, but there is an element of creating management dashboards, taking raw data recompiling from there analyzing and ensuring that the resources allocated and forecasted are being leveraged as intended and that our actual and forecasted numbers align month on month. Although this position will not manage individual projects it is expected that the candidate will have direct experience in managing project/portfolio budgets in large scales and has worked in Financial Services in highly complex globalized environments. He/she should have an understanding of project management methodologies and approaches to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects and be able to perform qualitative assessments of project financials. Provide an independent, neutral voice to facilitate project problem solving and develop recommendations for action from a budgetary perspective. The key elements to success in this position will be having a complete understanding of the Book of Work (BOW) within Compliance, with the guidance from the PMO office and partnering with the Work Stream leads and the Business Managers in making sure we have a sound portfolio from a financial perspective with the ability to identify, present, and remediate trends month on month. Main Duties Ensures our project level accounting is accurate and reflects both the budget and the forecast and provides that transparency into the PMO office. Validates that our Work Streams leads are working towards a highly sensible resource allocation model as oppose to the “thumb in the air theory”. Produces monthly a financial report that illustrates YTD vs. Actual and helps identify where the gaps are and presents to the IT Compliance PMO and potentially other senior leadership as required. Participates in accumulating and disseminating best practices. Ensures the use of best practices and applies lessons learned from previous projects. Ensure tracking, maintenance, validation and alignment of portfolio structure in line with overall EST budget, programs, themes and categorizations (i.e. business discretionary, mandatory, regulatory) Person Requirements Basic Qualifications: 2+ years experience in a global multi site Technology environment with a large number of workforce delivery options (Permanent, Contract, Vendor). 2+ years understanding of financials is essential as financial management of this portfolio is required. 2+ years experience working with Excel Preferred Qualifications: Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to interface with mid-level and senior PMOs as required. Self starter / has the ability to think out of the box Strong SharePoint and Access skills are desired Working towards the areas of quality control, standards, working practices and continuous improvement with adherence to policy and procedure. Have excellent prioritization and co-ordination skills, combined with the ability to work to multiple deadlines under pressure.
