It is also responsible for the enhancement of the existing applications. Strong design/debugging/coding skills in Perl. Experience with WXPerl, Perl2Exe (Perl packaging software), or IBM Rational Team Concert a plus. OpenSSL skills are also preferred to update the SFTP module of a Perl based program for transferring files. Major Job Duties: Write, test and deploy programs/objects for new and existing applications. Provide input during initial software design stages. Provide technical specifications as per specific programming standards. Provide development estimates. Demonstrate understanding of technical environment. Build and sustain relationships in the team environment. Interface with Business Analyst staff on new and current system development. Assist in the development of Software Requirement Specification documents. Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in Computer Science or related field. Typically 2 or more years of programming experience. Skills and Competencies: Good communications (oral and written). Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-tasking. Understanding of the business application of technology.
