Send me profiles : ar...@vedicsoft.com * Job title : Sr Data Architect* *Job location (City, State) - Marlborough, MA Duration: 6+ Months'* · Prepares estimates for Data Architecture functions and deliverables within early stages of project initiation · Analyzes Source Systems data usage, storage, processing etc. · *Determines data usage designs in enterprise data integration efforts (ETL/SOA/Middleware) and creates enterprise data mappings.* · Designs high performing data models and reporting solutions based on Functional Requirements and input from BI Architects. · Creates conceptual and logical data models using industry standard modeling tools. · Facilitates the transformation from logical to physical design and implementation. · *Develops source to target mapping for ETL teams* · Designs, develops, documents, performs quality assurance of the technical architecture for Data Warehouse and Database systems · Designs future state business information processes, conceptual to physical data models, and path to execution from current state to "as-is" assessments. · Represent design proposals at Architecture Review Boards for review and approval · Ensure that Project specific Data Architecture requirements and deliverables are aligned with existing foundational Data Warehouse architecture · Designs and develops or supports development for Data Validation tools and/or procedures. · Prepares and delivers architecture artifacts including design documentation for Data Warehouse and data structures to support Business Intelligence · Supports design and development of an Enterprise Data Model Below are attributes and experience essential for this position: · *10+ years of systems and technical architecture analysis, design, implementation, and support of manual and automated database systems and technical architectures* · *7 years, or equivalent retails systems experience, as a Data Architect and/or Information Engineer* · Has successfully designed and implemented large-scale data warehouse and business intelligence solutions · Expert knowledge facilitating and hands-on experience in data modeling and design, data flow diagramming, data warehousing and business intelligence, application and analytical reporting tools and techniques, service oriented data delivery, and global master data management programs · Strong data management skills required to architect data models that meet the needs of diverse user base using all available data sources. · This information technology professional will function as the lead information management technology expert on various projects and must demonstrate a strong mix of technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills. · Ability to interpret and communicate complex specifications and architectural strategy to Project Managers · Experience in Kimball's dimensional data warehouse modeling required · Knowledge of industry standard middleware, ETL, master data hub, and service oriented architecture, design and delivery solutions · A deep understanding of the use and hands-on experience with Erwin for application (OLTP) and data warehouse (OLAP) data models and implementation, or industry standard modeling tool · General understanding of common development languages and frameworks within the Systems development toolset · Business analysis, process modeling, and a strong domain knowledge of a global retail business a plus · Familiarity with Retail industry standard ARTS model and with Cognos and/or QlikView would be a plus. · *Experience with Oracle Retail and Master Data products and data structures helpful. In addition, experience with Master Data concepts and methodology a plus.* · Candidate must be able to work autonomously and to prioritize multiple tasks.
