If you are an Architect or a Java Team Lead is interested in becoming an Architect, this job is for you! You must be assertive, good relating to others, want to stay technical, and want a diverse set of challenges (not just heads down coding). The Architect reports to the Architecture Manager and works in a cross-functional team to develop scalable, robust and high performing applications. Currently 15 products are within the scope of the Software architect's responsibility. This role collaborates with other Developers, Architects, UX, Product Owners and Testers in a highly transparent agile organization, with a drive for quality. You must take ownership for vision and follow-through in designing and developing optimal application architectures leveraging JavaScript, Java, SQL MQ, WMB, GIS, DataPower etc. including selecting the technical path and convincing stakeholders of the advantages of your proposed path. Required Skills & Attributes (must have a combination of the following to land this position): * Software development - 10 years * Java * JavaScript * SQL * MQ * WMB * Prior Team Lead or Architect experience * System/solution-based development experience (as opposed to specific application-based development experience) * Ability to see impacts across portfolio or enterprise * Experience in designing and developing B2B and/or enterprise integration solutions and/or SaaS-based solutions. * Utilizing multiple integration approaches and technologies (such as FTP, Messaging, Web Services). This is a dynamic, challenging, team based environment building software that supports critical infrastructure throughout North America. This is a long term career opportunity where you will set up a multi-year architectural plan and then fulfill that plan over the course of a few years.
