Job Title: COBOL Programmer/Analyst Location : Columbus, OH Duration: 7+ months Job Description: During the development life cycle the required deliverables to be complete by the programmer/analyst will include, but not limited to the following: Program: Functionality developed according to design specifications using COBOL. Unit Test: Creation and execution of test scripts in order to verify that each program module will function properly when it is inserted into the system. System Test: Creation and execution of system tests to verify the system is satisfying the defined business requirements. The COBOL programmer/analyst must have a stable work history that includes 5 years of development experience in a corporate environment. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or technical training equivalent is required. Technical skills required are proficiency in MS Office and other Windows based applications. Refer to COBOL Programmer/Analyst Skill Set Matrix, below, for additional skills. The candidates should possess strong problem solving and development skills. The client will provide on-site work space, and basic administrative support for contracted vendor employees. Project will utilize existing development, test and production environments.
