*Please submit locals for the position below to pava...@logicplanet.com <pava...@logicplanet.com>,* *Oracle Developer * *Herndon, VA* *6MTH CONTRACT TO HIRE - CANDIDATES MUST BE GC OR US CITIZENS * we are Looking for an Oracle Developer for a contract to hire position with one of our leading clients in *Herndon, VA* - Client will require a *F2F interview* so candidates *must be local* to the area. *REQUIRED SKILLS: * -Bachelor’s degree in Computers Science or related field. -7+ years of high-level experience with Oracle including PL/SQL and SQL, performance tuning, database administration, performance architecture. -7+ years of experience in data modeling and/or data warehouse schema design. -5+years in SQL tuning and PL/SQL scripting. -5+ years’ experience with various methods of partitioning of tables/Indices. -5+ years’ experience as an Oracle production and development DBA concurrently supporting multiple enterprise databases in UNIX 24X7 environments. -Knowledge of OEM. SQL Plan Management experience. -Physical & Logical modeling experience is preferred. -Well developed written and verbal communication skills. *RESPONSIBILITIES: * -Participate in code and design reviews providing constructive feedback and insure compliance with designs and established standards relating to the database. -Ability to develop and test Database solutions to automate data manipulation, data calculations/summarizations and storage and be able to work with application developers on database design recommendations. -Works with the Development/DBA team on performance and optimization activities related to external and embedded SQL. -Perform engineering and design functions for our Database systems and services. -Perform database capacity planning, data modeling & database design. -Proficient in the coding of SQL, database stored procedures & appropriate testing methods. -Design and create database schema scripts, deploy schema build scripts, maintain database baselines, support application requirements, testing and implementations. -Strong skill set in SQL, PL/SQL development; ability to analyze and provide recommendation for performance tuning. -Analyze and resolve, or recommend solutions to highly complex technical problems such as performance issues, integration of object-oriented relational database technology, data quality issues. -Lead or participate in modeling initiatives (object, logical), data analysis and application of corporate standards. -Create sound database physical design models from object or logical models. -Develop scalable data warehouse and business intelligence platforms/infrastructure. -Ability to work in an agile, fast paced environment.
