10-15 years of experience or around 12 is the best. *Manager, Architecture Back Office Systems* is a critically important technical resource deployed within the context of business technology solution delivery projects to ensure overall stability and performance of our world-class websites. The Architect drives internal and external technology experts and vendors in deep-dive architecture reviews, makes technical development & design decisions to ensure the optimal outcome. Leveraging strong technical expertise and analytical skills, the Architect works closely with Build Managers, Enterprise Architects and cross-functional teams to assess the architectural impact of business requirements on underlying Hilton Worldwide technology capabilities and platforms, identifying risks and issues with mitigations. •Provide leadership in delivery of project and initiatives. •Lead initiatives through the standard methodology from project approval to deployment. •Lead internal and external partners in strategy / project initiation, architecture, requirements analysis, design, project management and systems integration activities. •Partners with Solutions Architect to produce detailed use cases, data model and architectural roadmaps •Works with the various internal IT groups to integrate solutions components (e.g. custom architecture, enterprise information), scope cost, timeline and understand implications on architecture •Provides guidance and technical leadership on software architecture and design to software development teams by referencing and enforcing standard methodology and approach •Adheres to Enterprise Architecture standards for the company including class diagrams, data models, business domain models, sequence diagrams, use case models and collaboration diagrams •Generates acceptancetest requirements with designers, test engineers and user, to determine all high level requirements are met •Writes (in collaboration with the Solutions Architect) technical business documents such as software design specifications, system architectures and software requirements specifications •Develops accurate schedule and scope of effort estimates for complex software development projects •Communicates clearly with the Solution Architects and the Relationship Managers •Assists Director in providing technical expertise to Build Managers, Solutions Architects and project-based Capabilities Architects to produce detailed use cases, data models and collaboration diagrams. •Assists in establishing procedures and processes in relation to the architecture group. •Monitors industry trends and identifies best practices/methodologies to implement in-house. •Implements direction by executive management to ensure the overall strategic direction of the all architecture teams is consistent with and supported by Human Resources, Legal and Finance. •Works with all architecture departments and confers as appropriate with key stakeholders and departments so objectives are accomplished. •Evaluates and streamlines business processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness within the department. •Provides direction and directives to the departmental team members in the performance of their duties, establishing work priorities and in achieving management objectives. •Executes directives of organization’s mission, goals and objectives and demonstrates through ongoing and direct motivation, communication, group dynamics and leadership. •Manages third party partners. Identifies primary vendors.
