Systems Administrator Job Details:

You will be part of the Migrations Program and will functions as the VM &
Windows Tier 3 Systems Administrator.  This migration consists of 1600+
servers and 400+ applications to various locations. Some migrations will
also be local to a new network.  The Systems Admin is expected to be a
leader/driver and must take initiative without being micromanaged. Being a
self-starter is a must!  A problem solver by nature.



Job Description Points:

•Knowledgeable, creative, hardworking individual to provide exceptional
customer service in a fast-paced operations environment supporting a
24x7x365 mission critical VM, Windows environment.

•The system administrator is responsible for OS installations, upgrades and
decommissions for enterprise servers supporting the Migrations Program.

•Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels.

•On call 'type' support might be required for troubleshooting or
pre-planned migration activities



Essential Duties:

•Understanding of Virtualization (VM) based technology

•Windows 2003/2008/2008 R2 Server support and troubleshooting or
administrative and troubleshooting.

•Load, and deploy new servers.

•Create and maintain Windows server images (i.e. WDS, Acronis, Altris)

•Work with engineers and project leads to implement new systems, policies,
standards and practices.

•Document server administration processes and procedures.



Systems Administrator Mandatory Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience with Windows operating
systems or equivalent.

•Enterprise server management experience.

•Experience with Clustering

•Deep knowledge of industry-standard, enterprise-class best practices for a
large server environment.

•Must have experience with server virtualization with specific knowledge of
VMWare vSphere 5.0.

•TCP/IP knowledge.

•Working knowledge of Active Directory sites and service, Group Policy and
DNS/DHCP, shares and permissions.

•Experience with Dell, IBM, and HP Enterprise class servers

•MCSA, MCSE, or MCTS certification preferred

•Experience with standardizing server configurations (i.e CPU, RAM, RAID)

•Experience with shell scripting and automation tools

•Familiar with Avocent IP KVM Technology

•Experience with iDRAC, ILO, and RSA II out-of-band technologies

•Experience with Exchange a plus

•Experience with SAP a plus

•Experience with large integration efforts a plus

•Experience with PlateSpin

•Experience with Zerto

•Experience with Capacity Planner

•Strong Troubleshooting skills (MUST HAVE)

•Strong Communication skills (MUST HAVE)

•Strong Documentation skills and recognizes the need for such (MUST HAVE)

•Thrives in dynamic, independent learning environments (MUST BE A SELF
STARTER)
