Title: Java Developer posted on 2014-07-15 15:11:37 Job Description:*Java Developer* *Madison, WI * *Duration: 07/21/2014 to 06/30/2015* *8 Years of exp. required.* The State Transforming Agency Resources (STAR) Project will consolidate IT systems and equipment for improved efficiency and modernization of the State’s IT Systems and infrastructure. The goal is to deploy PeopleSoft to consolidate multiple outdated human resource, procurement and financial business systems into one efficient, transparent and modern enterprise-wide system. To support this effort, WisDOT is looking for a *high-energy individual* with significant experience in java development to provide IT services to the department. In general, candidates will provide analysis, development and technical support for WisDOT applications. Candidates will function in two capacities: (1) backfill for WisDOT java applications development staff so they can be freed up to work on STAR project work and (2) STAR project related integration work for systems that need to interface with PeopleSoft modules. Skill requirements: · Java and Java Script · WAS 7 · JUnit testing · Java web application technical design · Test-Driven Development · Significant development experience in the above java tools and technologies is required. · WisDOT has custom java web applications using DB2 and Oracle database technologies. · Other tools or technologies: Web services. · Must be able to work independently. · Candidates must have superior communication and organizational skills. · Business Analyst skills are required. .
