Job Description:
Job Title: Senior Java Developer
Location: Northern/Central Jersey
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 6 + months
Role:
* The developer will be responsible for developing Java solutions.
* The position consists of maintaining and enhancing existing application that
range thru various technologies and frameworks.
Core Technologies & Skillsets:
* A minimum of 5 years of production experience in software development
* Production experience in Java web based application design, development,
and optimization.
* (Any Combination of Skills) Strong web application server side and middleware
development experience delivering Java/J2EE applications using technologies,
such as: Seam, Struts, Hibernate, JDBC, Servlets, JSP/JSF, IceFaces, and
RichFaces
* Newer frameworks are a plus Jquery, Dojo, Spring
* (A plus) 2+ years developing with Web Services and RESTful API and have a
working knowledge of J2EE concepts.
* Solid understanding of SQL and familiarity with relational database (Oracle,
DB2, SQLServer)
* (A Plus) Proficiency with Java Message Service (JMS) and Enterprise Service
Bus(ESB)
* Excellent debugging skills
Optional:
* Sun Java Developer Certification
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* (Plus) Experience working in a retail environment
* Strong interpersonal, influencing and communications skills
* Should have practical work experience in a multi-tiered architectural
environment.
* Must be detail-oriented, extremely organized, and will have exceptional
writing
and communication skills.
* Demonstrated a record of developing successful applications that are highly
integrated and reliable.
Academic Qualifications:
* At least a four-year degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related field
* Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
