Our client is a leader in the financial services field and they offer a great place to work with excellent benefits and competitive salaries and paths for advancement. *Overview* The *MicroStrategy Developer* position is responsible for developing and maintaining Business Intelligence reporting solutions utilizing MicroStrategy to support the business analytical and reporting needs. The position will also be responsible for building enterprise analytical solutions (dashboards, cubes, scripts, reports and queries). *Responsibilities* Design and develop complex reporting and dashboards to meet the business requirements. Build grids, graphs, scorecards, standard reports, and dashboards. Create and/or enhance report objects, metrics, filters, and prompts. Collaborate with business users to define requirements and reporting specifications and provide technical report assistance. Support end user training and provide second-line support for users who develop reports on behalf of their departmental colleagues. Validate reporting results against requirements. Troubleshoot and analyze data issues within reports. Work with the ETL team and business operational teams to understand data sources and implement new requirements. Ensure optimal end-user performance by establishing and consistently executing overall system performance assessment processes and associated action plans. *Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, systems engineering, database management or related field. Experience using MicroStrategy (3+ years) Understanding of relational database systems and concepts. Strong knowledge of SQL, including ability to write and troubleshoot complex SQL statements. Knowledge of data management, data modeling, and data analysis concepts, tools, and techniques. Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills, and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Excellent organizational and decision making skills including the demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines while providing quality customer service and products. Demonstrated ability to learn new technology.
