·         Develop new software and provide modifications, updates and
corrections to existing software programs.

·         Provide maintenance and development using Oracle Developer Suite
(Forms and Reports) software running in a Windows XP/ 7

·         Maintain the program code in a specified source code-management
system and follow established configuration management procedures and
policies.

·         Participate in the design, planning and development of
requirements, program specifications, interface requirements, and
input/output file layouts, through the use of workshops, user
meetings/discussions, and walkthroughs.

·         Document program design in an approved format.

·         Ensure deliverable dates are met.

·         Must be able to work well in a fast-paced, professional
development team environment.



Skills: Oracle Forms 10g, oracle reports10g, oracle, PL/SQL and version
control management.

eFACTS Application Experience







Location: Harrisburgh, PA

DEP’s enterprise system is called eFACTS (Environmental Facility
Application Compliance Tracking System).  It is an Oracle web form based
application that uses an Oracle 11G DB as the back end. It provides a
holistic view of the clients and sites (including facilities) that DEP
regulates.  In addition it tracks the various functions that support DEP
regulations such as compliance activities, bonding, fees, certifications,
authorizations/licenses/permits, etc.  eFACTS is a complex system
encompassing thousands of business rules.  There are over 2000 users from
all facets of the department, plus several external users.  It provides for
basic data entry roles, application processors, compliance specialist,
bonding, certification, etc.  The eFACTS system has over 140 Oracle Forms,
over 2500 tables in its main schema, and over a thousand other tables,
views indexes for interfacing with integrated systems.



These individuals will be utilized to support the existing system,
implement enhancements for the various program areas, assist in upgrades
and architectural changes, and provide mentoring and support to DEP
staff.   These positions may be involved in any or all facets of developing
application system such as defining user requirements, system impacts,
analysis, coding, testing, deployments, documentation, etc.



Tasks to be accomplished:

-             Understand the inner workings of the DEP’s eFACTS Application
and other Oracle system.

-              Understand the roles, security and authorization within the
eFACTS and integrated systems.

-              Provide maintenance and support to eFACTS and other Oracle,
integrated systems

-              Review selected documentation of the existing systems to
become familiar with the system requirements, functionality, and
architecture, reporting, etc.

-              Meet with end-users on new system requirements

-              Generate Requirements, Technical and Business Functional
documents, system documents, and assist in creating training and testing
documents.

-              Profile and tune selected pieces of the system for better
maintainability and performance as necessary.

-              Provide mentoring and assistance as required for the
transfer of knowledge to other developers and Commonwealth IT staff.

-              Aid in production deployments of systems.

-              Provide weekly status updates to BIT team manager or other
DEP managers as requested.

-              Generate reports as needed for executive management,
end-users, and BIT staff
