The Project will consolidate IT systems and equipment for improved efficiency, consistency among state agencies, and modernization of the State’s IT infrastructure. The goal is to consolidate multiple outdated human resource, procurement and financial business systems into one efficient, transparent and modern enterprise-wide system to meet state government business needs. A comprehensive system will allow state agencies to effectively manage finance, budget, procurement, business intelligence and human resource functions. Client is looking for high-energy individuals with significant experience as a Project Manager to manage IT projects. Client has custom and COTS applications using web (Java, xml and web services) and mainframe (COBOL, CICS, DB2, IMS and utilities) technologies. Experience in these functional and technical areas as a developer and project manager is highly desired. Project tasks: · Meet with stakeholders, prepare presentations and deliver communications materials. · Work with management and staff to define project scope, goals and objectives. · Collaborate with business unit and IT staff on all aspects of the project. · Identify and manage business requirements. · Develop detailed work plans. · Develop project management documents including project, risk and communication plans and a project schedule in accordance with IT project management methodology. · Ensure the plan is executed in accordance with the schedule.
