But error codes and proper error messages do exist for that case. We should just use it to avoid further workarounds. A script probably would need to do a ls /dev/usb/ to see if there is any device in first place to figure out if it is a permissions problem; the reset -d 0.2 was probably a too specific example as how would I know it's 0.2 in that case ;-) It still does not allow a user to use read-only operations (like listing) which should be possible without su permissions. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
