Hi Richard, Thanks for the pointer. I will look that up this weekend. The database I am looking at is called firebird (www.firebirdsql.com). It has embedded and standalone libs. Supports windows, linux, osx and ios along with android. It is opensource and has native support for c++, c, pascal, .net, jdbc/odbc etc.
