FOUND IT! It was in the actual MacOS APPLICATION BUNDLE!!! 

Hey LC, I appreciate the freebies, but a beta of 2.5?? Seriously? Geoff is up 
to v6 now, and it’s open source, not honor-ware. If putting the newer version 
in the Plugins folder is supposed to override the embedded one, it doesn’t 
work.
