Tweaking my own dev plans, after the EULA decision -
BTW, affected people - contact LiveCode, be heard!

But I have done my part; returning to plans
and some thoughtful HC-LC comments I saw here ...
too good to pass up.

1 of the best -

Stephen Goldberg:

> Consider a one-time purchase option.
> A basic, non-subscription license might attract
> a larger audience of educators and hobbyists
> who are hesitant to commit to ongoing fees.

Trend devotees won't admit any point there, but I do!
Popular dev tools with a mixed subscription model -
Noted for my own future guidance; thanks again.

Andrew Meit:

> I do scholarship on Martin Buber, Leonardo Da Vinci,
> J. Gutenberg over 35 yrs.

Good efforts. Strong urge to say - don't give up!
More options will come. Amazing how coding impacts
all areas of life, and life's work.
30 years HC-SC-LC but formal CS too.

Backup language takes lead -

My future plans require robust apps - no kill switch.
LiveCode Create is doubling down on a different path.
So my apps will use a 'Backup language' for now -

And God is good; No road blocks with Him!
the 'Backup' is already overtaking LiveCode version -
a good start for Managing dev tool risk.

Addons of course are another matter; more plans.

> I am deeply concerned with AI marketing and use.
> The tech industry is literally playing with fire

Yes - we trusted the wrong people on AI methods.
Including Claude; Sorry fans! It's what goes on inside.

Knowing that helps when using any AI.
Will share an NYT piece next time.

Bright future / new year...

Best wishes,

Curry Kenworthy
