I seem to remember something about this floating by a few years ago, but I can
enter this command in terminal:

telnet mysql.iotecdigital.com 8086

I will get a response of some sort if the server is listening on that port, or
else after it times out it will tell me.

If I use that command in a shell call from a script however I get the error:

/bin/sh: line 1: telnet: command not found

I believe there was some talk about the default shell changing, but when I
check the terminal shell it is /bin/sh and so is the shellCommand property. Why
is shell not working??

Also as an aside, can I change the timeout? If I don’t get a response on 5
seconds, the server is not listening or I cannot get to it.
