Effectively it is giving a compiler error, but reporting the line after the one 
with a problem.

I did log a bug, but that's closed, because the change that happened with 4.6.3 
won't be changed back (it was done to do with the changes in the server 
engine). Previously carriage return characters were not treated as line breaks, 
now they are. The rogue character in my script was an extra carriage return 
character.

So, we just need to remember between us that there was a change in 4.6.3 that 
may not show up for people for quite a while, at least until they are using an 
old stack under a new LC.

I think the number of people who manage to introduce an extra carriage return 
character is going to be low, so not such a big deal.
