Yep the revonrockets and http stack by Andre works great and already has a sample of returning the time. It works great. The time example uses a .rev stack as a cgi. (look in the stacks folder) The stack script has examples of how to use the cgi stack. Currently it has a method for getting the internet time, but its easy to add your own for long time, long date, etc. Whatever you need.
This means leaving the http stack running on the remote machine but it is so easy and works so well that its most likely worth it.
