One of the things I like to do is work on a handler in a button. This allows me 
to test the handler by simply clicking a button, and it's easy to see that you 
can insert it into the front if it's something that needs to be called by 
another handler. Downside is of course, if your script needs to reference the 
object you need it to be in, such as "me" then this won't work for you unless 
you start by specifically naming the object you intend to reference, and then 
later replacing all those references with "me".
