The problem with pure SSDs is that they have a limited write-cycle lifetime.
They're great for storing files (lots of reads, few writes) but if that's the
only (or main) drive in your system the swap cycles are going to seriously
affect the life of the storage medium. On linux you can point the /swap
partition to a real hard drive to solve that problem.
