As I understand it, LC Community not building for iOS is just a bug that'll be 
fixed very soon. The "which version do I need" info specifically says you can 
build personal or internal use apps (not distributed outside your company) with 
Community Edition.

To build iOS apps for devices rather than the simulator you need to be a member 
of the iOS developer programme. That'll cost you $99 per year unless you are a 
member of someone else's team. Of course you also need an Intel Mac and an iOS 
device, which are significantly larger expenses.
