May I suggest that you also consider publishing part or all of this
book under a free license. There are various models to go about this,
taking some time to inquire about it may be worth it down the road (or
not).

This is quite important if you want it to make its way into libraries
and into proper bibliographic references :)

Pardon my ignorance but for eveyone's benefit (others here may be
contemplating such a venture), what is the difference between the
process you're going through to get an ISBN and this:
