Anyone know if there's a combination of CR and/or LF (or something else) that can be used when posting a text file on a server so that LiveCode is able to understand the line returns when reading the file from the server?
In the tests I'm doing, I get inconsistent results. With some files, answering the downloaded text sometimes renders correctly in the answer dialog (lines include returns), but never renders correctly in the message box (return characters are ignored). At this point I'm trying to avoid HTML formatting because there's a bunch and front and backend stuff that would need to be updated -- trying to avoid that, if possible. Thanks for any suggestions.
