Storing files outside web root is always the recommended solution I think. But that is not always allowed. In such a case (and assuming your webserver is Apache), a folder containing includes you want to keep secret can be protected with an .htaccess file like so: <files "*.*"> deny from all </files> Which bans Apache from serving any files from that folder, but livecode should still be able to access the contents.
