Hi there,

If Xcode will let you do it as a Mac developer then it it possible.

If that is the case, I’d look into either a shell system call or applescript as 
a possibility.

P.S.  Why does it have to be a menubar app?
        Seems to me a small open stack window
        near the top of the screen might be good enough?
