dgDataControl is the property you are probably looking for.
Try this code in the datagrid group script:
on mouseMove
put the dgDataControl of the target into tTheDataControl
if (tTheDataControl is empty) then
put empty
else
put "Column:" && the dgColumn of tTheDataControl && "Line:" &&
the dgLine of tTheDataControl
end if
end mouseMove
