It is not hacky. It is the way you represent sequences in JSON. The hacky part
is the pipe delimiter. Try:
"colorwheel": [
{
“name”: “Red”,
“color”: “255,0,0"
},
...
or
"colorwheel": [
{
“Red”: “255,0,0"
},
...
