Roger, I agree. I was not aware, until you mentioned it, this evening, that zx ran on android. If that is the case, and mergAV does not, then of course it should not be deprecated, at least on Android. On iOS, it is not as useful for barcode scanning and recognition as mergAV is. Anyway, Jonathan, you would need mergAV to tell the camera to capture the image (on ios), so I am not sure why you would then have a separate JS library attempt to read it, since AV also includes a BC interpretation component.
