I had the same problem as you, and I used the Adobe Unistaller Program to remove all traces of Adobe Acrobat. This worked for me. You could try to reinstall Acrobat and then use the Uninstaller to remove it again. This has done the trick for me at times when I simply cannot find the file(s) causing the problem.
