It would be nice if this could be under programmer control. I have an
app that can have changes made to it that DON'T constitute a "change."
For example, if you get a record from the database to display it, it
changes the contents of the fields on the screen from what they were
before but if you don't make any changes to this record, I don't want to
save it. I guess it comes down to what your idea of a "change" is. It
would be ideal if you could have a property on fields, checkboxes, etc.
that would be something like "enable change notification" so I could
decide which fields I care about and which I don't. I guess you'd have
to have another function/command that would clear the "dirty" flag after
you loaded a new (but as yet unchanged) record.

I requested both specifically to support this on the Mac (where Apple
has interface guidelines) but also a generalized standard way in Rev
to mark a stack as needing to be saved. This would be useful on any
platform and help programmers by established a Rev standard method.
