You are correct, of course.
I was over-simplifying.
I completely agree with you that putting user data inside a stack inside a standalone is not a good idea. The most important point I was trying to make was, as Mark had said earlier, custom properties can persist.

This isn't quite right. On the mac, I can save data to a separate stack INSIDE of a standalone package with no problem. Not always the best place to
put the data in some situations, but it works.
