However, after my experiment, having quit Revolution (DreamCard 2.6.1 - dinosaur stuff) it refuses to restart; something tells me something is going on with a cache somewhere.

I know if some OpenGL calls exceed the resolution of the video memory, crashes can result. Does anyone know if there is a limit to how far you can put a stack offscreen?
